OS
I use Artix (btw), an Arch based distro that lets you switch the init system. In my case, I swapped in OpenRC, which has worked great for me.
For my window manager, I use Hyprland, which is what I started using Linux with and have never switched off of. I use Waybar because it works well and does everything I need it to do.
Development
For my terminal I use foot, which I have tmux automatically open on, because tmux is amazing.
I use Kakoune for my text editor, which has gone through some changes. When I first started programming, I used VS Code, though after not too long I switched to neovim. I did a lot of that until I saw a video where someone showed their Helix workflow and talked about how much they liked it, so I tried that. I ended up using that for a while and found that I really liked how the selection came before the action, but I thought that the Kakoune way of doing things, where there is no selection mode, was probably a lot better, so I switched to that. Finally switching to Kakoune was a while ago at this point and I don't forsee myself switching editor again in the near future; I'm happy where I am.
I keep my repositories on a Forgejo instance I access over tailscale. If I want to make a repository public, I can have Forgejo mirror it with GitHub.
Miscellaneous
I use LibreWolf with Sidebery for my browser and self-host SearXNG for my search engine.
I use FreshRSS to aggregate RSS feeds.
I self-host my services on a Raspberry Pi 4B with 8GB of ram. I access those self-hosted services over tailscale.
